There’s A New Nail Trend And It’s Seriously Gorgeous

We're obsessed with nails: bubble nails, mermaid nails and now there's glass nails. The ridiculously pretty 3-d glass effect nails are taking over Instagram thanks to manicurist Eun Kyung Park who coined the trend. Park, who runs her own Seoul based salon Unistella, came up with the concept and we're totally on board with nails that look like they contain tiny glittering diamonds.

It started when Park used tiny bits of cellophane (Sellotape) in a manicure and posted the finished result to Instagram. 'Glass nails' are now so popular that Park is bringing out her own range of stickers which can be used with any colour nail varnish. The cellophane catches the light and the finished result is SO pretty. This is one way to add a little sparkle to your look and we definitely see it catching on for party season!

Shiny translucent diamond facets like on Cinderella's new shoes. Been having fun with holo cellophane. ? As glitter placement goes, it's an easy nail art to do since the glitter pieces are much bigger. But I'll tell ya, it'll turn heads. The cellophane shows subtle shine at one angle, and crazy holo at another. Start up cutting the holo cellophane into shards. Working one finger at a time, place the cellophane on still wet polish in a shatter pane configuration, keeping the shards mostly vertical. Then seal it in with at least 2 coats of top coat. ?
