Add us as a preferred source on Google »As we age, one of the common makeup battles we face is avoiding those under-eye creases.
These pesky lines can often betray our age, leaving us looking for solutions that promise a more youthful appearance.
For those of us who have experimented with various concealers and techniques, the quest for crease-free under-eyes can sometimes feel like an endless pursuit.
However, I may have stumbled upon a game-changing hack that could revolutionise your beauty routine too.
This TikTok-inspired trick is taking the beauty world by storm: avoiding direct application of concealer to the under-eye area.
Yes, you read that right. Instead of layering concealer directly onto the lined under-eye region, this approach involves leaving the area blank and strategically blending concealer around it.
But that's not all—I have found a secret weapon in this beauty hack that sets it apart from the rest: Charlotte Tilbury's Airbrush flawless powder and a powder puff instead of a brush.
So, having seen this trick numerous times online, I decided to put it to the test.
I just turned thirty and I’m increasingly conscious of my skincare and makeup routine, so I was intrigued by the promise of smoother, less-lined under-eyes.
Using the new BPerfect Full Impact Concealer in shade L5 and L2, I applied it around the under-eye area, carefully avoiding direct contact with the creased region.
Using a gentle tapping motion, I blended the concealer into the surrounding skin, ensuring even coverage without settling into fine lines.
Next came the crucial step: setting the concealer and bare area with Charlotte Tilbury's Airbrush Flawless Finish powder.
Renowned for its finely-milled texture and airbrush-like finish, this makeup powder worked its magic, locking in the concealer, blending it with the bare section so it didn’t accentuate any lines or wrinkles.
I was delighted to see that my under-eyes appeared much smoother than usual.
The key lies in the strategic application of product and the choice of setting powder. By avoiding direct application of concealer to the lined under-eye area, I was able to prevent product buildup and creasing, giving a more natural and youthful look.
With the added benefits of Charlotte Tilbury's Airbrush powder, the final result has me converted for good.
If you're tired of battling under-eye creases give this hack a try and let us know how you get on.
