Fashion house Valentino showcased their latest collection last night, closing haute couture fashion week in Paris.
Creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli have a reputation for fusing the old with the new, lending a historical feel to modern designs.
Regal A-line gowns featuring delicate trains and ornate detail paraded down the catwalks alongside heavily embroidered waistcoats.
Some of the designs could have come straight from TV show The Tudors and we imagine Anne Boleyn and Jane Seymour might have stepped out in something similar.
As always, the detail and designs included in these designs are second to none and while we may never afford such pieces, there’s nothing to stop us day-dreaming about haute couture.
