There were leaders all over the pitch today.
Ireland’s win over France in the Rugby World Cup today was all thanks to a brave and courageous performance by the lads in green.
With key players Johnny Sexton and Paul O’Connell out of the game before the half-time whistle, it was up to the rest of the squad to step up to the challenge and march on – and what a stamping parade it was.
Ian Madigan celebrates afterwards.
With the world watching, Ian Madigan was just one of the stand-out performers on the day and as the final whistle blew on a memorable and historic victory, the meaning of their win was plain to see by his reaction.

Madigan’s face shows the relief and pride after a tough and extremely testing game, both physically and mentally, that was fought with sheer determination, pride and passion.
As the tweet says, it’s an emotional sport, and we sure do love it.
Madigan and the lads, you’ve done us all proud.
Roll on next weekend.
