We can always count on L’Oréal to bring us the latest in hair technology and the Elvive Nutrigloss Luminiser Range is all about bringing shine to your barnet. It has been “inspired by a professional glossing technique” and is aimed at dull hair “lacking radiance” so with claims like that, we had to put it to the test.

When it comes to beauty, L’Oréal know what they’re talking about. From make-up to skincare to hair, they can be relied on to deliver results at affordable prices.
Shiny hair isn’t always easy to maintain as many factors including diet, pollution and weather can play havoc with our locks. This is why a range aimed solely at glossy, shiny, supple hair is music to our ears.
The Beauty Break-through
This is where it gets technical. The new range actually takes inspiration from the glossy finish you’ll find on a car with Delphine Trillat, Manager of the Hair Instrument Evaluation Service L’Oréal Research and Innovation, drawing on her previous career for the new range.
“We used these insights from my background in the car industry, for the idea to deep cleanse the hair and then activate it, allowing shine optimally deposited so as to amplify the reflection of light to create a smooth hair surface on which to apply more lasting shine” said Delphine.
The range uses Glycogel technology which basically translates to a multi-level action allowing for amplified shine from every angle and to us, that pretty much sounds like the dream.
The Beauty Budget
The range consists of a shampoo (€5.84 for 250ml), conditioner (€5.84 for 250 ml) and a gloss (€14.99).
They Say: “Results reveal when using L’Oréal Paris Elvive Nutri-Gloss Luminiser shampoo, conditioner, hair was four times shinier than before application.
After 48 hours, there was no decrease in the shine value vs immediate application”.
We Say: Shiny hair really is the holy grail when it comes to achieving a dream hair style. You can cut it, style it, shape it, and the rest, but if it’s lank and dull, all that effort is wasted.
The good news is, you’ll be hard pressed to find products that deliver the same results within this price range. Using the shampoo and conditioner together with applying the gloss spray after (DON’t neglect this step) had a noticeable impact on our long thick unruly locks and that’s no easy feat!
