What the princesses (and even King Charles himself) have in their bathroom cabinets to keep looking polished and camera ready.

They’re just like you and I, really… Okay maybe not. In fact, not at all. But when it comes to their beauty products, the Princess of Wales, the Duchess of Sussex and even the late queen don’t have expensive taste (always). Here are some of the (somewhat) accessible products the royals have admitted to using in past interviews, or have been seen using when out and about.

Lancaster sun creams have been a long-standing royal favourite, all the way back as far as 1970 when apparently Princess Grace of Monaco used it. And now, the Duchess of Cambridge is said to use Lancaster’s Sun Beauty Velvet Milk SPF on the regular.

Catherine, the current princess of Wales, was spotted at Wimbledon a couple of years ago using Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in 01 Rose Shimmer. We’re certain Clarins counters would’ve seen sales skyrocket for that product afterwards.

Meanwhile, the late queen apparently loved the Essie Nail Polish in shade Ballet Slippers, and according to sources, back in 1989 the Queen’s hairdresser wrote a letter to the brand’s founder Essie Weingarten, requesting a bottle of the brands best selling nude polish.

Independent, family-run perfumer Floris often make scents for royal family members, but created a scent called White Rose, which apparently was a favourite of the queen, because it contained her favourite flower, the carnation.

Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle once told Beauty Banter that she uses Nivea’s Skin Firming Hydration Body Lotion. “I use this religiously. It’s honestly my favourite lotion on the market, it’s so affordable, and makes my skin look and feel amazing. I would buy a case of this at a time if I could find it.” And for €6.99, we’d bathe in the stuff if it meant our skin would be as gorgeous as Meghan’s is.

Prince Harry’s memoir, Spare, talks about how King Charles is always smelling things, and reveals his choice of scent too: “He was always sniffing things. Food, roses, our hair. He must’ve been a bloodhound in another life,” Harry wrote. “Maybe he took all those long sniffs because it was hard to smell anything over his personal scent. Eau Sauvage.”

Meghan Markle revealed once that she loves a particular viral blush. “I love Nars blush in Orgasm,” she said. “I use it on and off camera because it gives you a nice glow from within.”

The Duchess of Cornwall’s facialist, Deborah Mitchell, said that the Duchess is a fan of her Black Bee Venom Mask. Deborah once said in an interview: “I started treating the Duchess of Cornwall with samples of it about a year and half before anyone knew it existed and she loved the results.”
