Putting on false eyelashes is difficult at the best of times.
You’ve got to use the exact amount of glue, avoid ruining your perfected eye makeup, and desperately try not to poke yourself in the eye.
We can only imagine that trying to glue lashes when you haven’t got your glasses on is even harder.
One woman who knows only too well the plight of sticking on eyelashes when you can’t see very well is Judy Robbins – who accidentally tried to glue a dead fly to her eyelid.
Yes, a dead fly.
Absolutely horrific.
Her daughter Molly took to Twitter to share a photo of the unfortunate fly who is long gone from this world… and now seemingly being reappropriated as a common beauty accessory.
Text from mum – having trouble sticking lashes on without her glasses.. turns out she was trying to glue a dead fly to her eyelid. I'm out. pic.twitter.com/2vNpcW5l5n

Poor little guy.
Molly explained in the tweet that she had gotten a text from her mum saying that she was having trouble sticking her lashes on without her glasses.
As it turns out, said Molly, her mother was trying to attach a dead fly to her eyelid.
*shudders*
Some users were quick to call out the tweet for being fake, but it wasn’t long before Molly’s aunt Kate weighed in on the whole debacle confirming that the story was in fact true.
Did.

We’re not sure whether we’d prefer the story to be true or not. Discovering that you’d actually been trying to stick a dead fly to your face is nothing short of nightmarish.
Either way, Molly has definitely managed to freak everybody out with her viral tweet.
