Save, Steal Or Splurge – See Which You Can Buy for €32, €69 And €350

We want them all!

Cathy Donohue

This series is all about bringing you the best for your budget: so whether you have €30 or €300 to spend, we have something to suit.

This week we’re focusing on pencil dresses and have included three different looks at three different prices: two are from the high street and one is high end.

It’s always fun to see if you can tell the cheap option from the more expensive and you might even be pleasantly surprised to see what each one works out at.

€32, at Dorothy Perkins

A simple and stylish shift dress that’s perfect for work. This is priced at €32 and the muted check print is perfect for autumn winter ’14. Pair it with black patent courts and when the weather gets colder, team with opaque tights and ankle boots. Wear an oversized camel or grey boyfriend coat to balance out the tailored fit, winter chic sorted.

€69, at Oasis

This black pencil dress is a must-have basic piece. It can be worn with or without the belt depending on the style you want to achieve. It’s ideal for your work wardrobe but a black dress can be styled to suit any occasion. Add a bright gemstone necklace (easily found in Penneys, River Island or Topshop) to inject colour into your look.

€350, Orla Kiely at Arnotts

Irish designer Orla Kiely has some gorgeous pieces in store for the coming season and this dress is just one of the highlights. The warm blush pink shade is feminine, elegant and guaranteed to become your favourite piece. The belt accentuates the waist and the long sleeves negate the need for a blazer. It’s more expensive than our other picks but it’s a timeless piece that you will wear year after year.
