You either love Pitch Perfect or you pretend you don’t
Rebel Wilson has revealed there is a script in development for the fourth instalment of the Pitch Perfect film franchise.
This update comes seven years after Pitch Perfect 3, with Wilson also sharing her desire to reprise her role as ‘Fat Amy’.
While a fourth film has yet to be officially confirmed, the actress says she and her co-stars are keen on the idea.
“I would love to do a Pitch Perfect 4 and I believe there is a script in development for it,” Wilson revealed at the London Palladium while promoting her new memoir, Rebel Rising.
The Hustle star also shared her ideas for a potential storyline should Pitch Perfect 4 come to fruition, while also reflecting on the previous instalments of the franchise.
“I think someone should get married, maybe me and Bumper [Adam DeVine].
“We had the best time, it was just like having fun with your friends.
“Me and all the girls talk about it all the time [Pitch Perfect 4], we’re busy but they can pay us to come together!”
Wilson gave fans of the franchise even more hope by admitting her openness to bringing the Pitch Perfect series to the stage.
The Senior Year actress was asked if she thought the films could ever be made into a stage show, to which she replied that it’s ‘got to be on the cards’ given that the film’s director is a big ‘Broadway director’.
“But the thing is because we always sung in 10 part harmony and it was really hard to do live so it might be too hard to do.
“Also, there wouldn’t be anyone as good as me to play ‘Fat Amy’.
“But maybe it needs to be me who does it, thank you for sparking my next business venture, I won’t be paying you any of the profits,” Wilson joked.
