Princess Catherine has ‘turned a corner’ with cancer treatment

Princess Catherine is going through a course of preventative chemotherapy

Princess Catherine is reportedly doing well as she continues her course of preventative chemotherapy after being diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.

The mum’s doctors found cancer during an abdominal surgery but reportedly removed the cancer during the operation.

However, Kate’s medical team suggested a course of preventative chemotherapy after the cancer was removed.

She has been receiving treatment since the springtime but sources close to the princess have confirmed she has turned a corner.

They told Vanity Fair that her family has been a major support during this unthinkable time.

“It has been a great relief that she is tolerating the medication and is actually doing a lot better.

“It has, of course, been a very challenging and worrying time. Everyone has rallied around her—William, her parents, and her sister and brother,” they added.

Another source told MailOnline that Catherine plans on returning to work when the time is right.

They said: “There is no timeline, and there is certainly no hurry. It will be when Catherine feels ready and when she gets the green light from her medical team. But she will 100% be coming back to work, of that there is no question.”

The Princess of Wales confirmed she had been diagnosed with cancer in a heartbreaking video in March.

She said it had been an incredibly harrowing time for her family, especially her three young children.

The mum-of-three explained that they delayed sharing the news because their children are so young.

“As you can imagine, it has taken me time. Time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment.

“But most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte, and Louis in a way that’s appropriate for them and to reassure them that I’m going to be okay,” Kate said at the time.
