Princess Kate praised after making first public appearance since cancer diagnosis

Princess Kate made a rare public appearance over the weekend

The mum-of-three has been keeping a low profile since she was diagnosed with a form of cancer earlier this year.

However, Kate confirmed on June 14th that she was feeling well enough to attend Trooping the Colour with her family.

Fans of the royals have been praising the Princess of Wales for returning to public life amid her treatment.

The public has been anxiously waiting for updates since Kate was diagnosed with cancer. Her appearance this weekend clearly meant a lot to royal supporters who have been showering her with praise over the decision to return to public life.

The Princess of Wales said she has been blown away by the waves of support she has received since her diagnosis.

In a statement online, she said:

"I have been blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement over the last couple of months. It really has made the world of difference to William and me and has helped us both through some of the harder times."

She confirmed that she has been making good progress but she still has some bad days.

"As anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days, you feel weak, and tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well."

Princess Kate will continue treatment for another few months

Kate also confirmed that her treatment will be going on for another few months.

"On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home."

She said she's looking forward to spending time with her family and attending some public engagements, but stressed that she is not out of the woods yet.

"I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much-needed time to heal."

Princess Kate's appearance this weekend showed just how stoic and strong she is.

"The literal definition of grace and class, Princess Kate. Just in awe of this woman," one royal fan perfectly shared.
