British luxury brand Mulberry has finally appointed a new Creative Director in the shape of Spaniard Johnny Coca.
Coca, former head of accessories at Céline, will take up his high-profile new post in July 2015.
His appointment comes over a year after his predecessor Emma Hill presented her final collection for the brand in September of 2013.
The brand’s fortunes have been in decline since, despite maintaining a turnover of £164 million and the status of being Britain’s biggest luxury leather goods manufacturer.

The announcement today brings to an end some intense fashion speculation, with names like Roland Mouret and Galliano linked with the post over the past year or so.
Previous to his hugely successful stint at Céline, Coca also worked at Louis Vuitton.
Godfrey Davis, Mulberry chairman and CEO, said today: “We are delighted that Johnny is joining us. He has a wealth of international luxury and fashion experience that will help us bring new energy and innovation to Mulberry.”
