It turns out, these little yokes can indeed be taken off.
Yup, that's right. Allow Twitter user Chelsea Smith to enlighten you. Smith posted the following update to her Twitter account, changing everything forever:
"After my nineteen years of living I have now realized that you are supposed to take the plastic part off."
Her post was quickly shared thousands of times, meaning clearly we have all been doing this wrong. Other Twitter users were quick to comment how baffled they too were about this revelation:
