It was pretty incredible.
Today FM pulled off something pretty amazing at 1pm today when they staged the biggest live performance in the history of Irish radio.
The station gathered 100 musicians into their studio to perform U2’s hit One in aid of the Irish Cancer Society.

The compilation album, which goes on sale today is in aid of the Irish Cancer Society and in memory of Tony Fenton who passed away in March of this year. Today’s ‘One at 1’ performance included Graham Hopkins from The Frames, a 40 piece choir and bands including The Academic, Hudson Taylor, The Minutes, Delorentos, Róisín O, Ham Sandwich and more.

The 100-strong group also included a group of Today FM listeners who were selected to take part in the live event.
The album Whole Lotta Live was produced by Tony’s dear friend and former producer Pamela Blake and her husband, Gavin, Today FM’s award-winning sound engineer.
“Tony was a genuine, soulful lover of music. He supported all of the artists on this record and relished having bands and singers live in studio for a chat and a song or two,” said Pamela.
