You can get free chicken delivered to your room!
A new KFC-themed hotel has opened in the UK that will have themed rooms, access to free chicken, a concierge and even a chauffeur service to pick you up from home.
You’re interested right?
The House of Harland will be opening later in August and will have rooms featuring decor from top to bottom that pays tribute to the Colonel and his famous chicken.
Guests will have access to a “press for chicken” button which they can use and will – you’ve guessed it – see fried chicken delivered straight to their door.
The hotel is described as a “place for die-hard chicken lovers longing for a bit of escapism.”
The venue’s page reads: “KFC are taking things to the next level after the success of their annual Superfan Search, by launching the ultimate staycation – House of Harland.
“A place for die-hard chicken lovers longing for a bit of escapism, the House of Harland will be poppin’ up in London and has everything you need from the moment you ‘chick-in’.
“Indulge in the complimentary botanical infused self-care essentials, catch one of the chick-flicks playing in the cinema room, play on the KFC Hot Winger Arcade Machine, or just simply sit back and have chicken at your fingertips with a ‘Press For Chicken’ button. The House of Harland has lots of inviting details that make for an unforgettable stay.”
Obviously if you’re based in Ireland, this opportunity for a “staycation” isn’t quite so simple. We can only hope the hotel will stay open long after the pandemic ends – and longer than the mere 11 days for its first run.
Stays at the House of Harland cost £111 per room, per night, with up to two people sharing.
Bookings will open at 11am on August 11, exclusively on the Hotels.com listing here. 100% of proceeds will go to The KFC Foundation, which supports grassroots organisations across the country who are empowering young people to unleash their potential and build a positive future.
But you’ll have to hurry, as the hotel is not a permanent feature and will only be open for 11 nights.
And the significance of the number 11 in all this? Well it’s in honour of the secret 11 herbs and spices that have made KFC so famous of course.
