By order of, well, whoever organised this festival.
Everybody likes Peaky Blinders.
Everybody, that is, except the small number of people who don’t watch Peaky Blinders but that’s a severe minority so they’re not even worth mentioning, tbh.
The fifth season of the explosive BBC series is set to drop back on our screens really soon, and although we don’t have a release date just yet, we do have something else to look forward to in the meantime.
A Peaky Blinders festival ahead of the new season.
Divine.
The two-day ‘Legitimate’ festival will be held next month in Digbeth, Birmingham on September 14 and 15.
It’ll feature live music, scene recreations, a Q&A session with creator Steven Knight and the cast, as well as lots of other bits to get fans expertly pumped for the upcoming season.
Already confirmed for the festival are Primal Scream, Nadine Shah, Mike Skinner of The Streets (DJ set), and Anna Calvi, so you know it’s going to be a decent few nights out.
“On September 14th and 15th, Birmingham celebrates the television show that has catapulted its history to a global audience,” reads the event description.
“Now, the show’s creator, stars, famous fans and its home city come together to create a spectacular, immersive and ‘legitimate’ event in its honour.
“With 5 stages of music, live recreations of Peaky Blinders scenes involving 200 actors, fashion shows and mens’ grooming – fans will be living in the show’s world encompassing the Digbeth, Central Birmingham area. Using its historic streets, warehouses and factories and employing lighting, sound, smoke, video mapping and special effects, the post World War 1 era will come to life for an unmissable day.”
Sounds legit, in fairness.
