Bridgerton fans have been waiting quite some time for the period drama to return to Netflix, but the new season is just around the corner.
Irish actress, Nicola Coughlan will take centre stage in the third season of the Netflix show. She will star as Penelope Featherington in the upcoming season.
Netflix released the new trailer for the third installment, but fans of the book are concerned about the pending episodes.
The trailer looks as wonderful as we hoped with fan favourites Jonathan Bailey, Kate Sharma, and Golda Rosheuvel returning.
However, some are concerned about whether the series will follow the plot of the book or not.
One fan wrote: "I don't understand why the Bridgerton show doesn't follow the plots of the books. It's fine to add adaptations, but changing the entire main story is absurd."
Another said: "It’s so weird. I don’t get loving a book so much you want to adapt it and you just start completely changing it from its source. What is the point? They took making changes to a whole new level."
Fans may be worried that the series won't live up to the book, but with Nicola Coughlan playing the lead there's no doubt we're in for a real treat,
She said they wanted to ensure fans would be happy with how Colin and Penelope’s love story unfolded on screen with many nods to the books featured in the third season.
Nicola said: “I hope this season will make people who feel unseen finally feel seen. I hope it shows people they deserve love.
“Season three is for the wallflowers,” the actress added.
