The North Remembers.
The death of Sean Bean’s character, Ned Stark, on Game of Thrones basically set the tone for the rest of the series.
And it also led to a pretty bloody few seasons for the rest of the Stark family.
Going into the eighth and final season, there are only a few of Ned’s descendants who are still alive – and knowing Game of Thrones, even they may not make it to the end.
Speaking to Mashable, the actor weighted in on which one of Ned’s kids are going to make it to the end of the series…and who may be ruling the Seven Kingdoms at the end of it all.
Just a quick recap: the only Stark children who are still alive are Sansa, Arya, Bran and Jon Snow.
But despite being raised as one of his own, Jon isn’t actually Ned’s biological son – his parents are Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen.
Either way, though, it’s not the former Commander of the Night’s Watch that Bean reckons is going to be ruling the Seven Kingdoms – it’s Ned’s youngest daughter, Arya.
“Who’s left?,” he asked, before adding:
“Jon Snow is left, isn’t he? But Arya would have to be it. Yeah Arya will last — maybe she’ll be on the throne.”
There’s still a little while to go until we find out for sure (the eighth season is due to air mid-2019) – but we’d totally be on board with Arya being on throne.
