Princess Kate has stepped away from public duties since her diagnosis
Kensington Palace has shared an update on Princess Kate following her cancer diagnosis.
The mum-of-three was diagnosed with a form of cancer in January and temporarily stepped down from her royal duties.
The brief update comes after the princess spoke out about her devastating diagnosis in March.
Palace officials confirmed that Kate has no plans on returning to work until her medical team approves it.
It is unlikely that the mum will return to work for some time, the BBC reports.
They stated: “The princess is not expected to return to work until it’s cleared by her medical team.”
She may have stepped away from public duties but Kate remains the driving force for the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood.
She has been briefed on the latest report by the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood and it “will continue to be central to her public work”.
The most recent update comes after Prince William confirmed that Kate was “doing well” amidst her cancer treatment.
Christian Guy of the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood said it’s important for the charity to continue its work.
The project’s executive director said it’s important for the work to continue as Kate recovers.
He also said that the princess is excited about the foundation’s most recent work.
