Irish actor, Colin Farrell, this week confirmed that he has been cast in the second season of HBO’s hit series, True Detective.
The series, which was nominated for five Emmys and awarded one, has earned a cult following since its release and Farrell is looking forward to the challenge.
“I’m doing the second series. I’m so excited. I know it will be eight episodes and take around four or five months to shoot,” the 38-year-old told The Sunday World.
“I know very little about it, but we’re shooting in the environs of Los Angeles which is great. It means I get to stay at home and see the kids.”
Colin is following in the footsteps of Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson who starred in season 1.
Farrell is not the only big name to be linked with the second season, with rumours abounding that Rachel McAdams, Elisabeth Moss and Vince Vaughan might also be in with a chance for a role.
The show has already seen Hollywood favourite, Matthew McConaughey star in the first season.
