Dannii Minogue has finally broken her silence and spoken out about the revelations of her secret affair with Simon Cowell.
Last year, the Aussie woman denied any romantic involvement with Simon Cowell. The book, ‘Sweet Revenge: The Intimate Life of Simon Cowell’ by Tom Bower, said that the pair had had an affair during their working time together on the British ‘X-Factor’ show. She said it was time to speak up about the book and the effects the story had on her.
Dannii keeps people guessing as she does not repeat her denial that she spoke of last year.
Their shock relationship was the most-talked-about aspect of the unauthorised biography that was written last year.
The book documents several nights of passion the media mogul, 52, and former X-Factor judge, 40, allegedly enjoyed.
Dannii said;
“I haven’t read the book, but I’ve been told about the excerpts that relate to me and the speculation about my private life. From what’s been reported they put hundreds of hours into making this book and Tom is a respected journalist. I’m sure it makes for a great read, I wish them all the best.”
The mother-of-one also turned down the chance to work with Cowell again on his flagship show, ‘The X-Factor’, but said it was purely down to business and not personal feelings.
She told Glamour‘s September issue; “I was offered the chance to return, but I decided it wasn’t the right thing for me, as yet again it didn’t fit in with the commitments I’d already made to Australia’s Got Talent.”
Dannii is now single, she split from Kris Smith, the father of her son Ethan, earlier this year. Despite rumours, she says she is certain a reconciliation is not on the cards.
“Ethan remains our priority. We just celebrated his second birthday and I’m loving every minute I get to spend with him. Motherhood has been the most wonderful experience and his smile makes any bad day right.”
