Chris Hemsworth’s private chef spilled all the star’s diet secrets – and it’s not for the faint of heart.

Spanish cook Sergio Perera, who has worked with the star for the last 10 years has revealed how the Aussie actor eats to achieve his famous physic in an interview with News.com.au.

Over the last decade, Sergio has helped Chris bulk up or slim down depending on the role he is due to play and it’s no easy feat.

“Obviously, the guy is a big boy. He requires a lot of protein for the body he has,” he explained.

“When it comes to building muscle he just keeps it very clean with a lot of barbecuing – like meats and vegetables – and keeping it Mediterranean which involves a lot of olive oil.”

“One thing I did religiously with him, was every single day he would have one very large, hearty salad that consisted of raw and cooked vegetables, fermented products, nuts, seeds and a lot of good fats with a piece of steak or a big piece of fish.”

Though that might seem like a lot of food when you’re trying to build muscle while training hard at the gym a lot more than just a large bowl of greens and protein is needed especially when Chris was preparing to suit up as Thor in ‘Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: End Game’.

While getting ready to play the God of Thunder the 40-year-old would kick his day off with a large smoothie made from leafy veg, nuts, fruits, seeds, fats and a hint of sea salt.

Then it was straight into snack time which was a yoghurt with mixed berries, honey, almonds and chia seeds or if wanted a change, the actor had the option of wholegrain toast and eggs with Vegemite and avocado.

After hitting the gym it was time for another liquid meal of a protein shake made from ice water, vitamin C and BCAAs (Branched-chain amino acids).

His red meat intake comes early in the afternoon with a 225g fillet steak and vegetables, which he would eat again just a few hours later.

But he wasn’t done there; before bed it was meal time again for Chris who then tucked into white fish, roasted vegetables and a big healthy salad.

It comes as Chris is in the midst of overhauling his life since he discovered he could be prone to Alzheimer’s disease.
