The wedding dress trend you’re going to see at a LOT of summer weddings next year

Keeley Ryan

Saying ‘I do’ next year?

If you’re getting married next year, chances are you have at least thought about what kind of dress you’re going to get – if not started your visits to bridal shops already.

But if you haven’t found the dress quite yet, we’ve got some good news: there are a number of trends predicted to be huge for 2020.

So it’s the perfect way to get some inspiration, really.

And while trends should never dictate what you wear, it’s always interesting to see what new designs are featuring particularly when it comes to choosing a look for one of the biggest days of your life.

There’s one trend, though, that seems to never actually go out of style: off-the-shoulder dresses.

Effortlessly chic and summery, the look has proven to be a massive hit with a number of a famous brides – and has made its way into a number of bridal collections lately.

Plus, an off-the-shoulder bodice suits just about every kind of wedding gown – from detailed lace dresses to Art Deco gowns, and even the flowy, bohemian ones.

We are in love with the way Karlie Kloss took on the trend, as she shared photos of her dress from her second wedding on Instagram earlier this month.

The model wore a Western-inspired Jonathan Simkhai maxi dress as she and Joshua Kushner recently celebrated with a three-day wedding celebration in Wyoming.

And if you’re looking to get ahead of the trend (or simply just want to get the look at a fraction of the cost), some high street retailers have released similar style gowns which we absolutely adore.

BHLDN have some absolutely stunning options – including the Jillian gown and the Blake gown, and we’re still swooning over Monsoon’s Sophie lace Bardot maxi dress.
