This has to be the strangest wedding invite ever received by another human being

Buckle up because you’re about to engage in a wild ride.

When it comes to weddings, there are a lot of things worth complaining about.

There’s irritating brides, indecisive grooms, bad food, shit wine, and a load of people you knew from years ago but really just don’t want to hang out with right now.

Lots to like, clearly.

Generally though, a wedding invite is one of the aspects of a wedding that you’d expect to be quite straight forward.

Nobody can get a wedding invite wrong, you say.

That would be impossible, you cry.

They can though, and it’s not.

A person known only as ‘Fruitstripe68’ has shared their experience of the worst wedding invite in the entire world and the story really is bizarre.

Taking to Reddit, the person said that one day they received the invite for a wedding they were going to attend next year – and that they were fairly baffled by it.

It looked a little something like this:

“Starting with the invite, every line had a different font style and color as if they used every font in MS Word to design it.

“I’m not talking about those cool do-it-yourself invites that you see on Pinterest, I’m talking about searching through every font style that MS Word has to offer and use it. It’s very, very odd and basic computer looking.

“The background is a very juvenile pink and purple with confetti. Very close to a party invite and not a wedding invite.”

Right, so design is a bit off. Not the worst thing in the world.

The person, however, went on to say that the invite included no information about where the wedding was on. Like, none.

Instead, it asked people to “check out their Facebook page” for more information. Then 11 pieces of tiny paper came falling out of the envelope “like confetti” with the names of an assortment of brands informing people where they should buy their gifts from.

The person wrote: “I thought it was a mistake and maybe a “hold the date” as they just got engaged on July 4th? The invite is 5 months in advance. Then, there is no location or time so where and what time are we suppose to show up?”

Very odd, indeed.

Things only got odder when the Reddit user decided to check out this wedding Facebook group – and found it to be full of photos of the Best Man, who is actually a woman named Jill who is sharing a lot of inappropriate photos of herself to draw attention away from the bride, Mary.

According to the Reddit user, Mary is nowhere to be seen in the group. Oh, and she’s convinced that Jill is having an affair with the groom too, due to the severe number of photos she’s been sharing of the two of them.

Fruitstripe68 also reckons the entire wedding might be some sort of joke and that the groom and Best Man Jill really want to be together.

All because of a dodgy wedding invite.

The saga isn’t just one Reddit post long though – it’s four. So if you, like us, are severely confused as to what in the world is going on here, you best keep reading.
