We’ll just have to wait and see.
It’s become a sort-of tradition for men or women to pop the question to their significant other over the holiday season. After all, it’s a very special – and magical – time of year.
And since most couples choose the summertime to say ‘I do’, it’s also a really good time to kickstart planning.
The wedding experts from Bridebook.co.uk have highlighted one particular day over the festive season to be the the most popular day for proposals – and its not too surprising.
According to Harper’s Bazaar, that day is Christmas Day.
The experts at the wedding website looked at a monthly break down of proposals in 2017 and, not surprisingly, December was the most popular month.
In fact, 40 per cent of proposals happened between December and Valentine’s Day.
Talking this, and their client base, into consideration, the website is predicting that the most popular day for proposals in 2018 is most likely to be December 25.
This is followed by Christmas Eve, then New Year’s Eve.
Hamish Shephard, founder of Bridebook.co.uk, said:
“We can see from the 120,000+ brides currently planning weddings on Bridebook.co.uk that the most popular month to get engaged is December, by a significant amount.
“This year Christmas Day falls just after a weekend too, so with a stretch of time off work people are able to escape with their loved ones.
“Expect to see Instagram snaps of rings hidden in advent calendars, in crackers and under Christmas trees over [the holidays], as we enter the #proposalseason!”
