VIDEO: An Unbreakable Bond – Police Dog Grieves At His Owner’s Funeral

This is heartbreakingly sad.

On June 4, three Canadian police officers were killed in the line of duty in Moncton, New Brunswick by lone gunman Justin Bourque.

People living in the quiet residential neighbourhood alerted police after seeing a man dressed in fatigues and armed with a rifle.

The funerals of Constable Dave Joseph Ross, Constable Fabrice George Gevaudan and Constable Douglas James Larche took place on Tuesday and were attended by thousands of officers from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Danny, a German Shepherd belonging to Constable Dave Ross, attended his owner’s funeral and could be heard whining as he watched over Doug’s coffin.

Constable David Ross was a police Dog Services handler and his family said he took a “lot of pride” working with his dog Danny.

Justin Bourque, the suspect of the fatal crime, is facing two counts of attempted murder and three charges of first-degree murder.
