The cotton and linen masks are made by women with refugee backgrounds and are distributed by the Irish Refugee Council in a safe manner that removes the risk of contamination.

Dublin based designer Natalie B Coleman has been busy making face masks since the pandemic began, and her collection is absolutely one that you’d want to get onto if you’re in the market for something fun.

5. Fionnuala Bourke
When Fionnuala’s aunt who is recovering from cancer asked her to make a face mask so she could go for a walk, the designer decided she didn’t want to just make one – she wanted to make hundreds.
So, she set up a GoFundMe, turned her studio into a mini factory, and set about making as many face masks as possible.
Fionnuala’s using the money to make masks available for order, but she’s also donating them to nursing homes across Kildare.

6. Irish Sock Society
A “Howya” face mask – enough said, really.
The Irish Sock Society have launched their own collection of face coverings for the incredible low price of just four quid.
So if you fancy heading outside with your mouth and nose covered with a hilarious mask, you know what to do.

Time to bring the glam – and you can do so with a mask from designer Jennifer Rothwell.
Bringing a contemporary twist to the face covering game, these masks are vibrant, quirky, and all round gorgeous. They’re also made from silk, which is absolutely an added bonus.
