Five Fabulous Summer Fashions to Try this Summer

As with every summer, trends will come and go. For this year you should definitely check out at least a few of these five fabulous fashions.

Rebecca McKnight

With so many trends and prints to pick from it can be difficult to know which summer garments to pick and unfortunately you won’t have the funds to buy them all – if only!

That is why Her.ie is making your life a little easier by picking five key fashion trends for you to feast your eyes upon and spend your money on this summer.

1. Pastels

Like sweets in a candy shop, pastel colours in clothes are an absolute must. Think subtle pinks, greens, blues and oranges in dresses, jeans, top and blazers. That’s the best thing about pastels: they can be worn with anything and everything. All you have to do is pick what colour you fancy and off you go.

2. Cropped Top

It’s time to start the abs workout now because the cropped top is the fashion garment of the moment. Combine with a flowing skirt or high-waisted jeans to create a hippy style or opt for shorts if you are heading to the beach (and it’s warm enough outside of course). Any colour or pattern will do but if you want something a little dressier, opt for a cropped top with beads or sequins. Bralets are also huge for the summer if you’re feeling daring and want to embrace your inner Rihanna!

3. Tribal Print

This is one of the most popular prints for the summer and there is really so much you can do with it. A tribal dress is perfect for making an impression while a tribal scarf will add edge to an understated outfit. Add even more pwhoar factor to your ensemble by getting complimentary jewellery.

4. Loose Shorts

When we say loose, we’re not talking MC Hammer loose, more like loose enough to breathe but tight enough to protect your dignity when there’s a gust of wind. Go for something with a print on it and wear high on the waist with a vest top. Suitable for day or night and easily adapted with a pair of wedges.

5. Orange

Tan or no tan, orange is the colour to be seen in. Whether it’s pastel, burnt or bright orange it doesn’t matter. We say the brighter the better but if you’re not feeling that brave or are a little conscious about your skin tone, softer orange shades are just as good. Orange shoes or a bag are other ways to work it into your outfit without going overboard.

If you’re being extra good with your money, you can always combine our suggestions with print shorts or an orange cropped top.
