This UFC fighter shows the shocking reality of ‘cutting weight’ for a fight

'I was honestly killing myself for this sport.'

She says she’s never dropping that much weight again.

UFC fighter Paige VanZant is lifting the lid on the reality of dropping weight quickly before a fight and reveals she struggled to deal with the physical and mental toll that took on her.

The 23-year-old has previously spoken out about “killing” herself to get to the allowed weight for her last few fights and admits she even passed out in her bathroom because of it.

Posting online this week, Paige seems to have shared a picture of that incident and has left fans in shock.

The post has since been taken down and replaced with a picture of the fighter looking much happier and healthier.

“115lb Paige? Ain’t nobody got time for that,” she captioned the picture on Instagram.

“I can’t wait to wreck shop at 125! Who agrees?”
