Man hospitalised after being shot in both legs in Co. Down

The PSNI are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

A man has been taken to hospital after being shot in both legs in the Kilberry Park area of Dundonald, Co. Down.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland received report of the incident at 8:30pm yesterday evening.

In a statement, the PSNI said that they are now appealing for information.

They said: “Detectives are appealing for information following a shooting incident the Kilberry Park area of Dundonald this evening (September 23rd).

“At approximately 8:30 pm, a report was received that a man had been shot in both legs. He was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries.

“Anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have any information in relation to it, is asked to call 101 quoting the reference number of 1786 of 23/09/21.”

The PSNI also advised anyone who may have witnessed it, to use the non-emergency reporting form on the PSNI’s website, or to contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
