In the name of love.
They might be away on a world tour, but that didn’t stop Irish rockers U2 from celebrating the results of Friday’s Marriage Referendum.
The band, who were performing in Phoenix in Arizona on Saturday night, dedicated their song Pride (In The Name of Love) to the historic voters of the Emerald Isle.
According to reports, Bono is said to have changed the lyrics from: “They could not take away your pride” to “They could not take away your gay pride”.
He reportedly also stated: “In fact on this very day we have true equality in Ireland”.
