First Lionel and now the Dalai Lama…
The Dalai Lama has been confirmed as a guest speaker at this year’s Glastonbury event.
The news was confirmed by the man himself – appearing in his 2015 schedule of events.
In a line-up of summer engagements, the 79-year old confirmed his attendance at Worthy Farm on Sunday 28 June, just one day before he gives a talk on Buddhism on the 21st Century at Kempton Racecourse:
According to The Huffington Post, the religious leader’s ties are quite strong with the festival. The site noted how his Tibetan Monks performing at Glastonbury in 2013 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Tibetan Declaration of Independence.
Other acts rumoured to be appearing on stage include Muse, and a possible Oasis reunion.
Glastonbury officials have not yet confirmed the religious leader’s engagement this morning.
