It’s impossible to think about Little Miss Sunshine without the famous van-pushing scenes popping into your head. The Hoover family’s epic 800-mile road trip in their antiquated Volkswagen T2 Microbus for little Olive’s (Abigail Breslin) chance to compete in the “Little Miss Sunshine” beauty contest is one to remember. And the yellow van is most certainly the star of the show.
Despite the broken clutch, a stuck horn and a detached door, the Microbus transports the entire dysfunctional family across the country. This has to be one of the most heart-warming films in the last ten years. We’re so watching this again over the weekend.
