If that sounds like you, than this study is right up your street. According to researchers from Harvard Business School, people who are prone to sarcasm are actually more creative. The research found that more cognitive energy was used for the delivery of and understanding of sarcasm. “To create or decode sarcasm, both the expressers and recipients of sarcasm need to overcome the contradiction between the literal and actual meanings of the sarcastic expressions,” said researcher Francesca Gino according to The Metro. “This is a process that activates and is facilitated by abstraction, which in turn, promotes creative thinking.” So there you have it folks, it's time to sharpen your sarcastic claws... all in the name of creativity of course!
