Well, this escalated quickly.
Jamie Oliver is often admired for his wonderful concoctions in the kitchen with cookbooks and recipes being used by people every day. While he sticks to set recipes for some dishes he likes to bring his own version for others. He once said it takes 40 minutes to create the perfect beans on toast.
While people are normally willing to embrace his unusual recipes this latest one has people going crazy.
He posted a picture to Twitter of a paella, a dish which originated in Spain. He said on Twitter, “Good Spanish food doesn’t get much better than paella. My version combines chicken thighs & chorizo.”

People have been commenting on the tweet telling him that it’s wrong with one person even suggesting it is an “abomination”. The general consensus is that he shouldn’t be putting chorizo in a paella and that he’s left out some key components, such as the yellow rice.
Hi @jamieoliver, big fan of yours. I guess you know that Valencians call that “Rice with Stuff” (TM). Now THIS ⬇… this is a real paella. pic.twitter.com/s0rxFdSkVC

@chefjoseandres no break for @jamieoliver That’s misinformation contributing poorly to share real Spain’s gastronomy knowledge abroad

@chefjoseandres maybe you’re the American version of Jamie Oliver.
Plus a whole load of ignorance. 😛— Alex Martini (@MartiniComedian) October 4, 2016
@jamieoliver @SrJimvill You’re absolutely mistaken and your paella’s an abomination. Get some callos, mate.
