Mary Berry’s secret spaghetti ingredient might just blow your mind

When it comes to spaghetti sauce, everybody’s got their own secret addition, but last night we heard of one that was brand new to us.

The tipster? None other than Mary Berry, who was whipping up her take on the Italian classic on her show Mary Berry Everyday.

In the latest episode, our favourite TV chef revealed that she adds a good old dollop of double cream to her spag bol.

Berry’s ragu sauce is a tasty mix of passata, tinned tomatoes, stock and herbs, oven cooked for an hour. Towards the end of the cooking time, she stirs in the cream and pops it back in the oven to reduce.

Although we have yet to give it a bash, we are 100% in support of this wild idea, if only for the guaranteed leftover creamy, garlicky sauce to dunk our garlic bread in afterwards.
