Brace yourselves! The John Lewis advert is being released this week
It’s that time of year when John Lewis releases an advert that makes the nation cry like babies. And by the nation, I mean me.
The emotional advert will be released on November 9th, but the retailer has already given fans a glimpse at the trailer.
It features a nanny and a grandson so there’s no doubt we’ll be sobbing over this in the office on Thursday.
The theme of this year’s John Lewis ad is ‘traditions grow’ but we’ll have to wait until Thursday to see the full video.

In the preview, a young boy is shopping at a market with his grandmother.
He picks up a box that has ‘grow your own perfect Christmas tree’ printed on the box.
John Lewis captioned the video, “Christmas begins 9 November #TraditionsGrow“
Viewers were delighted to get a glimpse at the ad and expressed their delight on Twitter.
One said, “Can’t wait. Looks like a good one this year.”
“I always look forward to the JL Christmas adverts. This one looks like it’s also going to be a good one too.”
“Only 9 seconds but already it’s more Christmasy than the other department stores anit-Christmas one,” another shared.
One joked, “I’m ready for my heart to be ripped out of my chest.”
The John Lewis Christmas advert goes live on November 9th.
Are we emotionally prepared for it? Definitely not, but we can’t wait. Tissues at the ready!
