John Krasinski shot to fame after starring as Jim in The Office

He was part of the show for nine seasons, but John Krasinski has revealed one storyline he was not happy with.

The actor refused to take part in a storyline where Jim cheats on Pam. The actor said it was completely out of character for Jim, and something fans would never forgive the show for.

Krasinski told co-star Brian Baumgartner:

"That's the only time I remember putting my foot down. 'Cause [Greg] was saying, 'You're going to actually make out with her in this scene.' I remember saying things that I never thought I'd say before, like, 'I'm not going to shoot it'."

The creators ended up changing the episode after Krasinski put his foot down.

In the episode 'After Hours', Jim is cornered by Cathy during a work trip to Florida. She is hanging out in Jim's room and flirting with him, but the creators wanted the pair to kiss.

They even teased a potential storyline where Jim and Pam break up temporarily, but thankfully that never happened.

The pair were one of the most loved couples in 'The Office' so ruining their relationship would've been a completely wrong move from the show's creators.

Krasinski added: "'They are so dedicated. We have shown such great respect to them. But there's a moment where if you push them too far, they'll never come back. And I think that if you show Jim cheating, they'll never come back.'"

Jim and Pam's friends-to-lovers storyline was one of the most memorable parts of 'The Office'. Seeing the pair fall in love was a real joy to watch and one of the best sitcom romances of all time. Having Jim cheat on Pam really would've tainted the show.
