A popular Bridgerton cast member has stepped away from the Netflix show
It feels like a lifetime has passed since we last tuned into ‘Bridgerton’, but 2024 is the year of the show’s long-awaited return.
This year’s season will focus on Irish actress Nicola Coughlan’s character Penelope Featherington. The ‘Derry Girls’ star will play the lead but plenty of fan favourites will continue to appear in the popular series.
However, there is one character that will be missing from ‘Bridgerton’ this season and you may be pretty disappointed to hear who.
Daphne Bridgerton won’t be part of the show’s third season, actress Phoebe Dynevor has confirmed.

Speaking at the Sundance Film Festival, the actress told Screen Rant that she has stepped away from the project.
“In season three, I’m just excited to watch as a viewer,” she said.
However, the actress hasn’t completely shut down plans to return at some stage in the future.
She told the publication that she’d love to reprise her role as Daphne “potentially in the future”.
Phoebe became a huge star after she starred as Daphne Bridgerton in the first season of the Netflix hit.
Season three of ‘Bridgerton’ will focus on Colin and Penelope’s love story. It’ll likely follow the book’s storyline but expect even more drama than before.
The third season will land on Netflix in two parts with the first airing in May 2024.
Let the countdown commence.
