Ballymena man Liam Neeson has revealed what his last wish would be…
The actor said he would love to drink wine with his late wife in heaven.
He said himself and wife Natasha Richardson were a “great fit” for each other and he loved being with her. English actress Natasha died in a freak ski accident four years ago.
Asked what his final wish would be at death, the Irish Sun reports Neeson said he would love to arrive at the gates of Heaven to be told, “Your wife’s inside, with a big bottle of Pinot Noir.”
The 60-year-old described how he met his wife and mother of his two sons, “I was living in Hollywood being reasonably successful and there was any number of girlfriends.
“It was a good life. But there was just something missing.
“Natasha called up and she talked about this play, Anna Christie, which she had done herself in London.
“She wanted to do it on Broadway and it was kind of what I was looking for.”
Neeson and his late wife Richardson were a “great fit”
The pair travelled to New York to work together.
Liam added: “We had a wonderful chemistry and we became really, really close friends and ultimately we got married.”
Neeson’s role in the play made a tough decision easy for director Spielberg-the legendary Hollywood figure asked Liam to play a role in Schindler’s List.
