Fans of I’m A Celebrity were up in arms last night, after claiming the show is a fix following a Bushtucker Trial.
Contestants Jorgie Porter, Brian Friedman and Lady C were set to face a ‘deadly’ mud crab and snakes in Friday night’s challenge – but eagle-eyed viewers spotted something amiss with the challenge.
A close-up on camera showed Jorgie and Lady C , despite the fact that they couldn’t physically be pinched by the crab considering his claws were tied.
Fans of the show were less charitable for the celebrities’ fate, labelling the show “a fix” for reducing the stakes in this year’s competition:
No wonder that crab is so angry it’s got it’s claws clamped ? #ImACeleb

Not fair on the crab, its got it’s claws restrained. That’s cruel to the animal. #ImACeleb #ImACelebrity — ANDY GIBSON TV (@AndyGibsonTV) November 19, 2015
What’s the point of putting a mud crab in when it’s claw’s are immobilised ? #ImACeleb ?

That bloody mud crab has got his pincers bound #ImACeleb #fakery — Kate Davies (@katedavies914) November 19, 2015
#ImACeleb absolute fix. Poor show #AntAndDec the winners weren’t even drinking the shots properly. Just pouring them down their torsos ?

The backlash is the second round of criticism the show has received in the past 24 hours, after presenters Ant and Dec wrongly dunked Vicky Pattison in the splash pool despite winning her part of the live trial.
The duo were forced to apologise to the MTV reality star live on air, saying:
“Vicky we do apologise about that but it may have cooled you down anyway. Hopefully we will dunk the right people next time.”
