Fans of the royal family are convinced that Meghan Markle’s recently redesigned engagement ring looks very familiar.
In fact, they reckon it looks just like the one her ex husband, Trevor Engelson, gave her in 2010.
It was revealed last month that the Duchess of Sussex’s engagement ring had been redesigned – with the gold band being replaced with diamonds.
Eagle-eyed royal fans are convinced that the new mum’s engagement ring now bears an uncanny resemblance to the one given to her by her ex-husband.
According to The Sun, the film producer – who split with Meghan back in 2013 – popped the question with a ring which had a diamond band, as well as a bigger diamond set in the middle.
This has led social media users to point out the similarities between the two rings – with some people convinced that they both look very similar.
One person wrote:
“First Meghan matched her Wedding pictures to Harry to that of the one with Trevor… now re has redesigned her ring to look like the one Trevor gave her!
“How embarrassing for Haz!!”
Another added:
“Meghan’s new ring looks just like the one her ex-husband, Trevor, gave her!”
Someone else said:
“Meghan new added bling looks strikingly similar to her engagement ring from Trevor.”
Prince Harry proposed to Meghan back in November 2017, with a ring that he had designed himself.
Initially, it featured a gold band with three larger diamonds: two from Princess Diana’s collection, and one he had sourced himself in Botswana.
Fans first noticed the change to Meghan’s ring at the Trooping The Colour parade last month – and that she was wearing a new ring, believed to be a gift from Prince Harry.
Harpers Bazaar report that the new band is an eternity ring designed by Lorraine Schwartz. It is said to feature three birthstones – one for each of the Sussexes – on the underside of the piece.
