Prince Harry says he was forced to leave England because his children weren’t safe

Prince Harry doesn’t believe England is a safe place for his children

Prince Harry has opened up about living in England with his two children, Archie and Lilibet.

The dad-of-two stepped down as a senior working royal in January 2020 and moved away from royal life in London.

Harry and Meghan decided to raise their two children, Archie and Lilibet, in California because it just wasn’t safe in England.

This is because the royals refuse to provide the family with adequate security because they’re no longer working royals.

Prince Harry said it is “not possible to keep them safe” in England.

The dad wants his children to feel at home in England but said it is not physically possible.

In a written statement, Prince Harry told the High Court that he was forced to leave England.

He is currently challenging the Home Office after his security arrangements were altered.

Prince Harry’s barrister read out his statement in court.

In the statement, the dad said the UK will always be his home, but he cannot return until it is safe to do so.

His statement reads:

“It was with great sadness for both of us that my wife and I felt forced to step back from this role and leave the country in 2020.

“The UK is my home. The UK is central to the heritage of my children and a place where I want them to feel at home as much as where they live at the moment in the US. That cannot happen if it’s not possible to keep them safe when they are on UK soil.

“I cannot put my wife in danger like that and, given my experiences in life, I am reluctant to unnecessarily put myself in harm’s way too,” he added.

Prince Harry said it was unlawful to change his publically funded security.

Prince Harry will now await the judge’s ruling in his case against the Home Office.
