Zooey Deschanel is engaged to boyfriend Jacob Pechanik.
The happy news was confirmed this evening by US Weekly and follows the couple’s announcement that they are expecting their first child together.
The New Girl actress has been dating producer Pechanik since last year.
This will be Deschanel’s second marriage, having separated from Death Cab For Cutie’s Ben Gibbard in 2012.
