George Clooney Reveals Exactly How He Proposed To Amal… And It’s Pretty Sweet!

Thousands of women worldwide have swooned over the idea of George Clooney getting down on one knee and popping the question, so when we heard he'd proposed to Amal Alamuddin, we were bitterly disappointed.  Dreams officially crushed. Nonetheless, the talented actor has revealed this week that it wasn't all plain sailing for him when he decided to get down on bended knee. “When I asked her, we had never talked about it – there wan’t like a, ‘Maybe we should get married’. Literally, I dropped it on her,” he told CBS News. “I was at my home and I queued up a playlist of some of my aunt Rosemary’s songs and I asked, and she just kept saying, ‘Oh my god’ and ‘Wow’ – completely unexpected. “And you know, I just said – I’m 53 at the time – ‘I’ve been on my knee now for 28 minutes so I gotta get an answer out of this cause I’m gonna throw a hip out! I might not be able to stand back up!”” Speaking about their subsequent wedding in Venice, he added, “I’ve got a real decision maker, a much smarter decision maker. “I have someone I can talk to about anything, and some who I care more about then I’ve cared about anybody.
