Dancing With the Stars’ Curtis Pritchard has told how the attack that left him and his brother hospitalised was actually a ‘blessing’.
The 23-year-old and his brother, Strictly Come Dancing’s AJ Pritchard, were attacked by eight men while on a night out with friends over the holidays.
According to a spokesperson for the pair, AJ was bruised on his face, arms, body and legs while Curtis is to undergo an emergency operation to correct damage to his knee after the “unprovoked attack.”
Now, in an emotional message on New Year’s eve, Curtis has said the attack was a “blessing” as it brought them closer than ever.

“Thank you everyone for your support to myself and @aj11ace who I’m lucky enough to call my best mate and my brother,” he began.
He went on to admit that while the incident had been tragic, it was also a “blessing”.
He continued:
“It’s brought us even closer together and made us stronger then ever.
“We will be entering this new year with positive minds and with the knowledge that sometimes people knock you down and try and break you.
“But having your family there and the love we share for each other nothing can break us… we are starting this new year with the brightest of futures ahead.”
