The Cyrus family have been making headlines for a while now
It might have started with Billy Ray or it could have been Noah but now it seems like Tish is involved too and it’s all just very confusing.
It’s getting to a point where if it was made into a reality show it would make The Kardashians look like the Great British Bake Off.
Yet if you’re tuning in, things might be a bit well…complicated to suss out by yourself.
Not to worry though, because we’ve put together a timeline of everything you need to know to get you back in the loop.
April 2022: Tish and Billy split
This is where things kick off; Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus announce that they’re splitting up.
They released a joint statement to People which read: “It is after 30 years, five amazing children and a lifetime of memories, we have decided to go our separate ways—not with sadness, but with love in our hearts.
“We have grown up together, raised a family we can be so proud of, and it is now time to create our own paths. We will always be family and look forward to a continued and loving shared experience as friends and parents.
“We have not come to this decision lightly or quickly but with so much going on in the world, we wanted to provide some clarity and closure, so we can remain focused on what is important.”
As we all know by now, all wasn’t as it seemed.
August 19th 2023: Tish gets married
Tish married Prison Break star, Dominic Purcell, and people were quick to clock that neither Noah Cyrus nor Braison Cyrus were in attendance.
Miley Cyrus, Brandi Cyrus, and Trace Cyrus were present, which quickly sparked questions over a family feud.
Instead, Noah and Braison seemingly spent the day at Walmart and posted a selfie in which Noah could be seen sporting a Billy Ray Cyrus T-shirt.
August 2023: Miley unfollows her dad
After the news broke that Billy Ray had gotten engaged to Australian musician Firerose, fans copped that the daddy-daughter-duo had unfollowed each other on Instagram.
October 10th 2023: Billy Ray gets married
After a brief engagement, the Achy Breaky Heart singer tied the knot with his now-wife Firerose. None of his children appear to be in attendance.
February 4th 2024: Miley snubs her dad
Miley Cyrus bags her first-ever Grammy and then not too long after that, her second one.
During her acceptance speech, she thanks “my mommy, my sister, my love, my main gays because look how good I look,” and even says, “I don’t think I forgot anyone. But I might have forgotten underwear. Bye!”
So the singer didn’t seem to have any plan to thank her father in the first place.
February 7th 2024: Tish appears on the Call Her Daddy podcast
It seems nothing is off limits during this chat. Tish opens up about breaking down after the loss of her mother and living apart from Billy Ray for two years before their split.
She tells her host Alex Copper that there was “disrespect” in her marriage to Billy Ray.
“Honestly, on both our parts,” the mom of five says. Thankfully, her current situation is much better, and she says that “there’s not one second” that she feels disrespected by her husband.
March 2024: Did Noah date Dominic before her mum?
In the plot twist to end all plot twists, an insider recently alleged to Us Weekly that “Noah was [seeing] Dominic when Tish started pursuing him,” adding that the mum of five “was aware” of the situation.
It only gets more complex when the source added that: “The turmoil between Noah and Tish goes far beyond [what people think]. Noah is very distraught over Tish stealing Dominic from her.”
According to this person, Noah and Dominic were dating for “about 8 to 9 months,” but were “having issues”.
The plot only thickened as Tish recently revealed she and Dominic met via DMs and did not mention anything about Noah…
On the other hand, another source came out to claim that the rumours were completely false.
The Daily Mail spoke to an anonymous insider who claimed: “Noah never dated Dominic and they were not together. She is delusional to think otherwise and is trying to create a narrative that will paint her as a victim.”
The source added that: “Noah was not invited to Tish’s wedding and she would not have come even if she was. Tish wanted a peaceful wedding and did not want Noah to create any sort of scene.
“Noah has always craved the attention because she did not get it growing up. Tish was always so Miley-sided because that is where the money was,” the source continued.
“Miley and Tish are like sisters and Noah has always been envious of this because she’s never had a connection with Tish like Miley has.”
If it makes things any better, another source (yes another) told People that Miley had no idea all this was even going on.
Now, that should be everything, for now at least.
