Former Celebrity Big Brother contestant Casey Batchelor has given birth to her first child. The reality TV star confirmed she and her boyfriend, Dane Goodson, had welcomed a "beautiful baby" in a sweet Instagram post. Sharing a photo of her new arrival, whose sex she chose not to reveal, the new mum explained why she would be taking a social media break. She wrote:

"I haven’t been on social media as I've been slightly busy the past few days. "We have finally welcomed our beautiful baby. I'm going to take some time out to enjoy and cherish these precious new born moments. "But wanted to let you all know as I’ve been having lots of messages. I’ll update you with details and with beautiful pictures soon."

The 33-year-old penned an open letter to her social media followers, where she recalled how she had "grown a very thick skin" after the comments. She wrote:

"I have had some horrendous comments online that I’m fat! Honestly some of them really make me laugh, apparently I should be harpooned. "I have grown a very thick skin to these bullies and trolls and to be honest they amuse me.

"I think people need to remember you have no control over your body when you are pregnant, not only are you carrying a tiny human as well as the placenta, your body naturally carry’s lots of water retention to protect the baby and of course swelling. "And yeah I’m not going to lie I have eaten more indulgence than what I would normally have done, but I’m not on a diet and trying to enjoy the perks of being pregnant as I’ve had a rough pregnancy, so I could not care less! "I’ve put on over 3 stone and embracing the chunky thighs with it. "I also get asked a lot if I’m sure I’m not carrying twins.... my reply is 'Yes there’s only one baby in there but it’s doubly awesome!!'"
