Gary Goldsmith has been discussing Kate Middleton on Big Brother
Over the last number of weeks, speculation about Kate Middleton’s health has been mounting.
The Duchess of Cambridge has not been seen in public since Christmas Day, and it was announced by palace officials that she underwent abdominal surgery in January.
There has been growing interest in the mum-of-three’s health status and whereabouts in recent weeks. The princess has been the topic of widespread discussions and conspiracy theories online.
Furthermore, the princess’s uncle, Gary Goldsmith, who is currently appearing on Celebrity Big Brother, discussed his niece’s health with fellow contestants.
According to The Independent, Royal commentator Rupert Bell has criticised the businessman for ‘throwing more spotlight on her’ by engaging with his fellow contestants on the matter.
Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu asked Goldsmith, “Where’s Kate?”
Goldsmith replied, “Because she doesn’t want to talk about… The last thing I’m going to do is… there’s a kind of code of etiquette. If it’s announced, I’ll give you an opinion.
“I spoke to her mum; she’s getting the best care in the world,” he said.
“She’s amazing. She’ll be back”
“And all the family’s done is put the wagons round and look after family first before anything else. They put a statement out and just said, ‘She’s taking some time [to recover] and will see you in Easter’.
Cülcüloğlu asked, “I’ve heard mixed things about Kate, and I don’t want to make a comment, but whatever it is, do you want her to come back?” to which he replied, “She’s amazing. She’ll be back; of course she will.”
This comes after Loose Women panellist Denise Welch came under fire for accusing the Princess of Wales of creating a ‘media frenzy’ by not speaking out about her health or making any public appearances.
Despite assurances from palace officials that Kate is doing well, she requested the Duchess of Cambridge “Just tell us what’s the matter”.
“Just tell us. Just do a photo, whether it’s from your bed or whatever it is. You are creating a media frenzy.
“And now the conspiracy theories are starting, which of course they’re going to do. So just say what is the matter with her?” she added.
“I don’t understand them telling us about Charles’ cancer but not telling us where the cancer is and how he is. Don’t make half a statement.”
