Angelina Jolie has forked out more than $3 million on a watch which she has given to husband Brad Pitt as a wedding gift.
The 1952 Patek Philippe platinum watch is a rare and unique design by one of the most respected Swedish watch makers.
The present came to light when a friend took the watch to a store to get it inscribed.
The Tomb Raider actress got “To Roly from Nessa” inscribed on the watch, referencing the characters that the couple play in By The Sea, a movie they are filming in Malta – which Angelina is also directing.

“I did inscribe the watch, it was for Brad and it was a rare one,” said jeweller George Farrugia who runs Dolindo Jewellers on the island of Gozo. “It was very valuable.
“I wasn’t nervous about the inscription because I knew I could do the work perfectly,” he added.
The watch may seem like a pricey gift for many, but in reality, Jolie is worth $145 million, so the watch is merely a drop in the ocean.
The couple wed last month after nine years together.
